Race 1

Already proven down the straight at Flemington with one win from one start over this course, Concealer will be hard to beat first up. Her form last prep around Fuhryk, Crystal Dreamer and Lady Esprit ties in very well for a race like this. She comes in without a trial but has performed very well first up previously.

Bullpit looks the hardest to beat off a nice Sunshine Coast run last time. Before that he missed the kick badly at Doomben so just put a line through that run. His form either side has been very good though.

1000m specialist Dance With Fontein has to be thrown into the mix as well after strong win at Moonee Valley.

Race 2

The former UK runner Kings Will Dream is undefeated in his three runs in Australia progressing through the grades in great style. He defeated Sin To Win by 3 lengths last start who will also start short in the market here. Up to 1800m should be an added benefit.

Lloyd Williams runner Harrison is a must include at his first Australian start with the stable already landing two winners first up in the country in recent weeks. His UK form is quite strong as well with wins over St Michel and competing in the Gold Cup against quality stayers like Order Of St George and Big Orange.

Wheal Leisure is worth sticking with as well after she had no hope with the way the race was run first up.

Race 3

With a great second up record Portman should come on nicely for his first up run last time where he finished on the heels of Ken’s Dream and Lucky Liberty who will both line up in the G1 Newmarket Handicap today.

Former Wakeful winner Tiamo Grace has a heap of ability when right. She didn't fire last prep but with some time off and back on a track where she has a good winning record could be closing off late at odds.

Downhearted has been finding it hard to win of late but is ever consistent finishing top 4 in his past 9 runs so you have to throw him into all exotics.

Race 4

After having little chance the way the race was run on debut Outrageous has bounced back with two very good runs since, the latest when defeating Tin Hat (who has won since) who will start as one of the favourites here. He meets Tin Hat 2kg better at the weights so it's hard to see him turning the tables and those form lines look the strongest for this race.

Tin Hat has to go in as next best after running Outrageous to a long neck before winning a strong 2yo maiden with a dominant on speed win.

One at huge odds worth including is Titan Blinders who had little luck on debut when held up for a run behind Blue Diamond winner Written By and last start he was only grabbed on the line by Nasaayim who will start short odds here.

Race 5

Shokora looks one of the best value bets on the card. Her run in the G3 Vanity was fantastic when running on from the back to finish 3rd behind Rimraan and Bring Me Roses who have both placed at G1 level since. With an even tempo in running she will be extremely hard to hold out.

Bella Martini will be hardest to beat. She had no luck behind Tulip in the Typhoon Tracy but was in great form prior to that with three straight wins this prep.

Another that will be charging home at the end is Seannie. She was stunning coming from the back against the bias first up and then came wide from last in the Typhoon Tracy to finish 3rd. Up to 1400m and on the much more spacious course are both huge pluses.

Race 6 - G1 Newmarket Handicap

Looking to take on Redkirk Warrior and Brave Smash at the top of the market under handicap conditions with the weight they have to give some quality runners at the bottom of the weights.

Getting in with just 50kg on her back the star filly Catchy looks a tremendous bet at double figure odds. She bombed the start in the G1 Oakleigh Plate first up and was never a winning chance from that point but still rocketed home to go down just 1.8 lengths. She won the Danehill in very good fashion over this course during the spring and then had no luck in the Coolmore when she was knocked over when travelling strongly into the race.

The winner of the Coolmore in Merchant Navy is definitely the one to beat. He resumed at Caulfield with a solid 3rd placing behind Super Cash when he was strong through the line. With natural improvement and having already been proven up the straight he has to be in the mix.

Making it a trifecta for the 3yos is the filly Booker. After defeating both Tulip and Shoals first up who have both won Group races since, she was super tough in the G1 Oakleigh Plate. After being caught wide off the track with no cover for the entire race she pushed forward and kept coming all the way to the line to go down by less than half a length.

Race 7

Back against her own sex Shillelagh looks well suited to break through despite having top weight of 58.5kg. Her last two starts in open G1 races have been full of merit with not much going right.

Samovare should be tough to beat. She was well backed last start when beating home everything bar the talented Silent Sedition and up to the mile now where she is unbeaten makes her a good betting prospect. She also meets Spanish Reef 3kg better off for beating her with ease back in September.

At odds Royal Applause is worth including now back out to the mile after a tough performance last start where she had to sit wide the trip.

Race 8 - G1 Australian Cup

After a dominant on speed win in the Peter Young last month Gailo Chop looks to have a mortgage on this race. The 7yo gelding comes into today in possibly career best form and out to 2000m where he has a fantastic record of 6 wins including the G1 Mackinnon over this course, he looks incredibly hard to beat.

Single Gaze once again looks the best bet for quinellas and exactas. She rocketed home along the inside from last first up to just miss out and then ran a brave 2nd to Gailo Chop last start which looks like the best form lines.

The Japanese runner Ambitious has to go into all exotic bets as well. He has very strong form coming over from Japan with a win over the superstar Kitasan Black and a close up 4th behind Maurice. If he is anywhere near right he has to be a legitimate chance on those performances.

Race 9

The unbeaten Twilight Song should be able to bring us home with a winner in the last. She sat wide without cover on debut when winning a strong maiden and then led all the way at Sandown. The form has been franked out of that race already with the 3rd horse Stylish Missile since running close up in the G3 Typhoon Tracy.

Ridden more quiet tonight Prezado should improve off his poor performance last start. His form prior was more than capable of winning a race like this.

If you are looking for a real blowout to end the card with then Riel Reward ran good time in winning a weaker race at Ballarat last start.
