Richmond vs Carlton Preview

The 2018 AFL season will kick off with the traditional Thursday night Richmond vs Carlton match up. Coming in as the reigning premiers the bookies have set Richmond as the short priced favourite, but with a number of key players from their premiership win either injured or recovering from injury they might not be as much of a lock as the odds suggest.

Carlton will go into the match as big underdogs after their poor performance last season where they finished 16th and could only muster the 6 wins. On the back of some promising pre season performances in the JLT series though where they played a more attacking style of footy, they could surprise an undermanned Richmond line up.

UniBet Odds:
Richmond - $1.18
Carlton - $5
