There should be a bit more value around in Race Three with the Robbie Griffiths trained Single Note going around at odds of $6 with Sportsbet. She has had two runs back this time in and despite not showing a lot so far, she ran the quickest last 200m at Caulfield last time. The step up to 1400m will be a big plus and she has a great record at Sandown with 2 wins from 3 starts so far. There isn't a lot of quality in this race, with the Tasmanian mare going around as favourite, so with the 3kg claim and barrier one Single Note looks a great each way bet.
Expect a big form turnaround from Zelsignoret in Race Four with the Snitzel filly having little luck in her first two runs this prep. First up at Moonee Valley she got back into an awkward spot on the corner and even though she didn't do much once clear, the race wasn't run to suit at all. Last start was much of the same as well. She settled at the back in a leader dominated race at the Valley but made up reasonable ground late. Out to 1300m on a bigger track today, don't be surprised if she improves dramatically after showing good promise last prep.
The Ellerton & Zahra trained mare Club Tropicana ticks a lot of boxes in Race Eight. After stringing together two big wins in a row, she had little luck last time when she got crowded up for room and couldn't get a clear run at them. Her record at this track and distance is first class and if she repeats her last run over this course where she sat 3 wide without cover and was still too good then it is hard to see her getting beaten. William Hill have set her at odds of $6 which looks decent overs on exposed form.
